EAL Self Evaluation

Form (SEF)

Use this to guide your evaluations of your EAL or language-learning provision: from leadership to the day-to-day teaching, learning and pastoral care, supporting identification and prioritisation of development areas.
Use these to take an honest reflection of the simple tweaks that we can all do a little more of, more consistently in order to make our lessons more accessible for all learners. These are "helpful for all, crucial for some" reminders for all teachers.
Use this to evaluate a specific unit of work through the lens of  the scaffolding required for learning to be accessed more equitably. This tool will help curriculum leaders and teachers to reflect on what's working and where adjustments can be made at curriculum-level for greater consistency and impact.
