Executive Director
Anna Leaman
Anna is a highly experienced education consultant with a background in teaching and leadership across the UK and international schools, including specialist settings for learners with SEND. She brings particular expertise in EAL pedagogy, literacy development, and inclusive curriculum design from Key Stage 3 to A Level.

Anna has led high-performing English and EAL departments, developed successful intervention programmes for reading comprehension and academic language, and supported whole-school improvement through coaching, CPD, and curriculum innovation. Her leadership has resulted in consistently outstanding student outcomes and a culture of collaboration and high expectations.

With a strategic focus on language access and equity, Anna works closely with school leaders and classroom teachers to embed inclusive, high-impact teaching practices. Her consultancy and training empower staff to deliver curriculum content confidently to multilingual learners, improving outcomes across the whole school.

Director of Progress and Outcomes
Tory Coates
Tory is an experienced English and EAL specialist with a strong background in teaching and leadership in both UK and international contexts. She brings a deep commitment to literacy, language development, and pastoral care, with a particular focus on supporting the whole learner.

As a senior examiner and English/EAL Lead, Tory has led departments to success through thoughtful curriculum design, strategic intervention planning, and high expectations for all students. She has overseen the implementation of targeted reading programmes and supported the development of school-wide systems for improving literacy and language across the curriculum.
Tory’s leadership extends beyond the classroom. She has played a key role in evaluating and embedding whole-school approaches to reading, writing, and communication, ensuring all learners — including multilingual students — can access and succeed within the curriculum. Her compassionate, student-centred approach is grounded in evidence-informed practice and a belief in every learner’s potential.

Multilingualism Specialist, Consultant and Trainer
Soofia Amin
Soofia is an Assistant Head Teacher at Kensington Primary (TTLT) and a Specialist Leader in Education for Multilingualism. She has wide-ranging experience supporting multilingual pupils, promoting the use of first languages, and embedding whole-school approaches to language-inclusive practice.

She has trained schools across London, worked with the DfE on improving provision in priority areas, and supported leadership teams through audits and tailored CPD. Her work has been recognised nationally, and she collaborates with universities on research and professional development to celebrate and strengthen multilingualism in education.

English Specialist Teacher
Steve Woods
Steve is a highly experienced English language teacher with nearly 15 years of international teaching and training experience. He has worked across secondary schools and higher education, supporting both learners and educators in bilingual and multilingual contexts.

Steve has trained primary, secondary, and university-level teachers in effective English language pedagogy, with a particular focus on building confidence in using English across the curriculum. He has taught in Spanish secondary schools and currently works at the University of Seville’s Language Institute, where he continues to support learners in developing academic English for further study and professional life.
Steve brings a calm, learner-centred approach to his work, grounded in his deep knowledge of language acquisition and cross-cultural education.

English Specialist Teacher
Heather Tobin
Heather is an experienced international educator with a strong background in supporting early language development and English language acquisition. She has taught in the UK, China, and Malaysia, and brings a wealth of practical and academic expertise to her work with multilingual learners.

Passionate about inclusive, student-centred teaching, Heather designs tailored learning experiences that respond to each child’s individual needs. Her work is grounded in current research, and she has supported colleagues in refining their practice through professional learning and collaboration.
Specialising in Early Years, Heather draws on tools such as Cued Articulation and translanguaging theory to nurture young children’s language skills in a meaningful and developmentally appropriate way.

English Specialist Teacher
Maja Catlak
As an experienced ESL educator with over 10 years in the field, Maja specialises in online teaching, exam preparation, and business English. With a career encompassing roles across Asia, Europe, and the U.S., she brings a wealth of experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Alongside her teaching duties, Maja is actively involved in teacher training, materials writing, and webinar hosting, focusing on the development and support of teachers from developing countries.
Her academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Education of English and a Master's degree in Linguistics, alongside Cambridge CELTA and Delta certifications.
Currently, Maja collaborates with various schools and institutions globally, delivering a range of online EAL courses through her learner-centered, personalised approach.

EAL Specialist Teacher
Judy McConaghy
Judy is a highly experienced English and EAL educator who has taught across a range of age groups in international contexts, including Saudi Arabia and Singapore, since 2009. Her versatile teaching style supports learners in developing both language proficiency and critical thinking skills.

With a strong belief in student autonomy, Judy creates engaging, accessible materials that empower learners and support colleagues alike. Her inclusive, resource-rich approach ensures that all students can participate meaningfully in the classroom.
Judy holds a Master’s in Character Education, reflecting her commitment to the holistic development of young people. Passionate about designing curriculum that sparks curiosity, she blends academic rigour with creativity to foster deep and lasting learning.
