Who we are

At EAL Inclusive, we partner with school leaders to build confident, inclusive multilingual communities where every student can access the curriculum and be appropriately challenged.

Our work combines strategic, whole-school leadership with practical, evidence-based action — helping schools move beyond add-on EAL support to sustainable systems that improve outcomes, strengthen staff confidence, and build trust with families.

Inclusion is the heart of everything that we do

Not as a slogan, but as a system. We work with schools to embed inclusive practice into leadership, teaching, and learning so that every student can participate fully and succeed.

The story of EAL Inclusive

EAL Inclusive grew out of classroom practice — shaped by theory, but driven by what works for students. Founded by Anna Leaman, the work spans leadership of English and EAL in UK and international schools, including work with students with SEND and complex communication needs. The same challenge kept emerging: schools wanted to do inclusion well, but lacked the systems to make it consistent.

Today, EAL Inclusive supports schools in the UK and internationally through whole-school consultancy and specialist online English provision. Trusted by leading school networks and international groups, the mission remains unchanged: inclusion that works in practice, not just on paper.

What makes us different?

We work at whole-school, departmental, and classroom level.

Inclusion only works when it is led, aligned, and sustained. We partner with senior leaders while working closely with departments and teachers to embed multilingual inclusion into systems, structures, and daily practice — not as an add-on, but as part of how the school operates.

We are teachers, not just consultants.

Our work is shaped by lived classroom experience, combined with up-to-date research and inclusive pedagogy. We understand the realities of teaching multilingual learners and design approaches that are both credible and practical.

We work with your school, not over it.

We build on existing structures, priorities, and frameworks, adapting them to your context rather than replacing them. The result is inclusive practice that fits the school, gains staff buy-in, and can be sustained.

We build capacity that stays.

The goal is not dependency. We develop shared language, consistent practice, and confident teams so inclusive approaches continue long after the partnership ends.

We focus on impact, not activity.

Everything we do is tied to outcomes: improved access to the curriculum, stronger participation, greater staff confidence, and measurable improvement over time. We are grounded in the belief that multilingualism is an asset, that home languages strengthen learning, and that what benefits all learners is essential for some.
